Play With Your Dog :Are you looking for a fun method to keep your dog occupied and out of mischief? Incorporate a few entertaining games into your dog’s daily routine.

Playing games with your dog keeps them active, occupied, and out of danger. Most importantly, it’s a lot of fun for both you and your dog.

Don’t know where to begin? We’ve got you covered, don’t worry. Here are 5 fun games to play with your dog, ranging from utilizing a flirt pole to playing hide and seek.

5 Fun Games to Play With Your Dog

Use a Flirt Pole

Using a flirt pole to keep your dog mentally and physically active is a fun way to do it. They’re especially beneficial for high-energy dogs because a single short session can completely exhaust your dog.

A flirt pole, also known as a flirt stick, is a long pole with a rope at the end. A bait is attached to the end of the rope to attract your dog to chase it. Flirt poles are a terrific way to get some workout while still being mentally interesting. They’re a non-destructive way for your dog to express their natural predatory instinct. They’re also useful for learning fundamental impulse control skills like letting go.

Play Tug of War With Your Dog

Tug is without a doubt my dog’s favorite game. It’s entertaining, interesting, provides excellent physical exercise, and allows dogs to develop their manners. And if you’ve spent a lot of time teaching your dog, a tug toy is one of the most compelling rewards available.

When playing tug, remember this simple rule: if your dog’s fangs come into contact with your skin, the game is over. Because tug gets some dogs (puppies) really fired up, certain dogs (puppies) may struggle with this more than others. When their mouth brushes against your palm, they’ll realize that “the fun game ends when I mouth my person.”

Playing tug with your dog will not make him aggressive, nor will allowing him to win make him dominating, contrary to popular perception. Allowing your dog to win adds to the excitement of the game and teaches your dog that you’re a lot of fun to be around.

Play Frisbee With Your Dog

Frisbee is another enjoyable activity to do with your dog. Frisbee is a game that I refer to as an advanced version of fetch since it encourages your dog to pursue after the ball over vast distances. A game of frisbee is wonderful exercise for dogs with a natural desire to chase, and it’s a lot of fun for them.

Use Kong Stuffing & Food Dispensing Toys

One of the simplest activities to play with your dog is to use a stuffed Kong or some food distributing toys. It’s entertaining, and it encourages them to use some of their natural scavenging abilities. If you don’t like Kongs, try the West Paw Tux toy, which is my favorite option.

Play Some Water Games With Your Dog

Going to the beach with your dog may be a lot of fun, especially if your dog already enjoys swimming (don’t forget to bring a canine life jacket for safety). You can bring some dog toys and play fetch in the water with them. Just make sure they float first, because we’ve lost a few toys in the water, much to Laika’s chagrin.
